This is another one of those anime that is worth watching, if for nothing else, it's uniqueness.

I'm Standing on a Million Lives is an isekai in which Yotsuya Yuusuke and a few other children about his age are summoned to another world by someone calling themselves “the Game Master”.

The Game Master gives the children quests that they have to complete, in the world they are sent to, in order to return home. Each new quest happens after a time skip in the other world.

Season two definitely didn't disappoint — the first episode was a tearjerker.

My little brother and I finished episode 7 today, which started the second arc.

One thing I really liked about the last arc was that the fight wasn't depicted in a biased way. Their quest was to exterminate orcs from Jiffon island along with some mercenaries. Throughout the arc, the orcs, and humans seemed to commit atrocities of equal measure. And Yotsuya and his group fought, even after they learned that the orcs weren't in the wrong.

My favourite scene is one in which an orc, sinking into molten lava, instead of showing pain, smiled at the dying young queen he held in his hands, so that she wouldn't be afraid. Even though Yotsuya had resolved to do whatever he could to save himself, in that instant he felt the full weight of his guilt and realized how weak he was.

We watched episode 8 today. So far, there is a bad villain and a bad cliffhanger.

Hopefully, the secret weapon will be interesting.

We watched episode 10 today. It was pretty boring. I guess the chief died, but that's not so startling at this point, and I don't see much point in finding the murderer. I liked it back in the day when goblins were harder to kill.
