The Hating Game -- Book Review (15/09/2019)

I am into light Romances, but this wasn't light; It's got a lot of sexual imagery. Which is fine, I guess, if your into that sort of thing...
This is written in the first person narration of Lucinda (Likes to be called Lucy apparantly) who works for a book publishing industry and is assistant to the CEO and is in a sort of love/hate dynamic with Joshua (Josh) from the very start; In her perspective he hates everyone including her and at first it seems hard to disagree; he fires her best friend along with 63% of the staff where he works. But quite soon it is apparent Josh is in love with Lucy.
This begins a sort of will they, won't they dynamic; will his good looks and hidden niceness be able to win her heart?
It does, however, become annoying to watch how stupid and girly Lucy acts: begging for sex. What happened to feminine spirit?
The Hating Game is Sally Thorne's first book (As far as I know) and she took a long time before writing (and publishing) her second 99 Percent Mine at the end of january this year (2019).

Rating (Out of Five): 2
