This starts of like a comedy, but don't be fooled underneath it there is a lot of emotional depth.
I didn't cry for Ano Hana because I didn't really understand what there was to cry about, but it's different with Ansatsu Kyoushitsu because it uses a similar technique to Animes like Clannad that use Comedy and Character Developement to make us care and understand each character before bringing in the emotions.
I really recomend this to anyone who likes to laugh an have a good cry too.
