I didn't like this film because I couldn't really relate to the protagonist professor at all. He let his relationship control his life, for example not concentrating on his teaching properly, and he didn't even try to hide his relationship. It made it feel like he deserved everything he got, no redemption.
Also, the part where Mathilde dies at the end doesn't make much sense either. It's also not really explained how she has so much power and influence to have people make bomb threats for her. I also don't like her character and her appearance has an eastern European feel -- too tomboyish for me.
